Festicket launches first TV campaign on Channel 4
Festicket, the world’s leading platform for festival experiences, is today launching its first ever TV campaign on Channel 4.
Festicket is supported by Channel 4’s Commercial Growth Fund, which signed a media deal with the London-based startup as part of the company’s Series D round in November 2018. The advert will debut on Thursday 2nd May, and will appear on Channel 4 until the end of the summer.
To lead creative direction and production for the 30 second advert, Festicket enlisted Grow@Mindshare, the specialist entity from Mindshare designed to help start-ups and entrepreneurial businesses achieve rapid and measurable growth.
Festicket, along with the team from Grow, decided to use a mix of live action and animation in the advert to show the journey of a music fan to their perfect festival. In the advert, the viewer travels with a festival fan from a rainy afternoon at home to the euphoric experience of attending her dream festival with friends. The advert follows the fan as she chooses between different genres, accommodation and travel options to settle on her perfect trip, showing how there is a festival experience out there for everyone.
It has been an exciting 12 months for Festicket. Channel 4 joined other prominent investors for the funding round in November, which was led by Beringea along with Jaguar Land Rover’s InMotion Ventures, U-Start and Lepe Partners. Festicket also received further funding from Edge Investments in February 2019 alongside a £4m crowdfunding round which closed at the end of April.
